Anyone got one of these? What are they like and how do they sit price wise compared to Moben (who I've been warned off on MN Grin)
Got around 10-15k to spend including appliances but don't need fridge/freezer. Am I deluded??

this is a bit third hand but i have friends who were absolutley delighted with their JL kitchen- they went for the cheaper end of the range but thought (and i agree) it compares very well with mid-and higher of the other wickes etc stuff.

they will not look down their noses at your budget! think they do design for refundable £50- not a lot to lose. think if i was doing a kitchen again, i would start there and then see what else was about!

Not sure about price compared to moben as didn't get a quote fom them, but we got a JL kitchen couple if years ago. We put one in our previus house so when we moved i was keen to recreate it in the new house.

We had the units and worktop supplied and fitted by JL. Though I bought the appliances and sink/tap separately after searching for the best deal on line.

Really like the kitchen, seems good quality - standing up to the destructive nature of DH and DD! However I don't think you could really call it a kitchen 'design' service more just planning, so I suggest going to as many JL as you can to look at all the different lay outs and cupboard options to get an idea of what you would like yourself the asking the planner to put them in.

I am madly in love with our JL kitchen, put in last year. Cherry worktops, cream units, lots of brushed steel.

The designer had some really good ideas. Much better than Moben (who make up their prices and offer bonkers discounts and are very hard sell).

Your price range isn't too barmy.

You're totally right about Moben prices - we had a hilarious visit when the guy said ' right, that comes in at 32k, but with discounts it's 10k, and off the record if you proceed it'll be 8k' Er....right....ok Grin How on earth can you take them seriously when that happens?
Meeting with John Lewis next week so very excited about that. Any other companies in the same price range? What about kit stone or neptune??

Highly recommend, and no price isn't deluded. Very happy with quality and confident of non-cowboy status of JL!
