Any plumbers/mates out there? Electric Showers

Or electricians for that matter....

DH's friend reckons that we should go for a mixer shower rather than an electric shower in the guest shower room as it will hardly ever be used?

Apparently electric showers are prone to developing problems if not used regularly. Anyone know if this is the case???

Had planned to put an electric in there to act as a back up in case of a problem with the heating system but not sure that's a good idea now....

My husband is a plumber. He says there's no reason why you can't put an electric shower in. Just go in once a week and turn it on for a couple of minutes running it round from full hot to full cold. He says fit a Mira shower.

I love this place!

Thanks Ethelina/Mr Ethelina.

I'd always have an electric shower somewhere, and I cannot see why it would be a problem.

It's soul destroying to not be able to wash in hot water when the boiler breaks down!

If it needed regular use we'd have put one in the family bathroom but prefer a mixer. No fun washing in cold water!
