Integrated oven/grill/microwave?

Just thinking about new kitchen layout and salesperson suggested we get an integrated oven with grill/micro above it. Whilst spacewise and aesthetically this would look, I'm a tad concerned about microwaving in what essentially is the grill. I only use microwave for heating food as opposed to cooking but still unsure about the idea.

Does anyone have one of these, would you recommend?

I can't bear to pay all that money for a microwave to reheat food and then you need to buy a warming drawer to balance out with the oven as the microwave isn't deep enough. I have opted to put the very bog standard and easily replaceable microwave into a microwave suitable, cupboard saving about £1000 off the price of our kitchen. I've gone for 2 Fan Ovens - side by side.

Do you every use your two ovens simultaneously out of necessity? I've seen people with two identical ovens quite a lot and everyone I've asked has said they bought them for symmetry rather than usefulness. Just wondered Smile.

Sorry, vbus, don't know anything about integrated grill/microwaves. Did they give you any model numbers you could google for reviews?

Also curious about 2 oven option!

Good idea googling for reviews, will do that thanks. Also an idea putting existing microwave into cupboard, more food for thought so to speak

I think I'll use the second oven anywhere between 2-4 times a month - wouldn't say it's essential but I really wanted a waist high oven - that was essential, I've had undercounter ovens and I really don't like them. And given the size of our kitchen one waist high oven would look lost.

And I suppose it's like having a separate grill and oven - that's not so unusual.

I hate stand-alone microwaves and opted not to have one at all for years, but when we had the kitchen re-done we had a Neff double oven, the top, smaller one of which is a proper fan oven, grill and microwave combined ( not a microwave with a halogen grill like some models). It is bloody brilliant, but was v expensive. I use it far more than the 'big' oven underneath.

I have 2 Bosch ovens set one above the other in a tall unit. (Looks like a double oven.) The bottom one is a large single fan oven, and the top a microwave/grill/fan combi like the one you mention. It's great - you save a lot of space not having a separate microwave, and still have the benefit of a double oven when cooking big meals. You get a bigger main oven if you buy them as 2 singles than you do if you get a double oven.

I would have had a combi and single oven if we'd been able to afford the ones that got good reviews. So few do. I'm happy with my double oven and cheapy separate microwave though, at about half the cost.
