Picking up keys - do I need ID?

Our house is due to complete this afternoon, I need to go to the Estate Agents later to pick up the keys. We haven't actually had any face-to-face dealings with the estate agents since we put in the offer 5 weeks ago, so they don't really know us!

Can anyone tell me whether they will need to see some ID before they will let me have the keys?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, how rude of me, I'm stressed!

They should have made a copy of your ID after your offer was accepted, odd that they didn't.

Our solicitor has taken copies of them but we haven't actually had much to do with the estate agents. I'll take some just in case!

I thought the same thing in January when I picked my keys up. I was surprised when I said who I was and what keys I needed, they just handed them to me. No paperwork, no check... nothing. Confused
