Well, after MONTHS and MONTHS of crappy waiting and prevarication including terrible wobble last week where it looked like our buyer did not, in fact, have a deposit after all, we have finally exchanged.
I had resigned myself to moving mid January, when our buyer announced that unless she was in next week, she was pulling out.
Cue hatred, rage, me vowing to remove every sodding lightbulb in the house etc - but then I found out she is currently homeless so my attitude has softened slightly.
However, we are away all weekend (unavoidable) so basically have tomorrow day and sunday night to get ready. Movers should be able to pack most of our stuff as they go (we are in a tiny flat) and I am planning on packing the books etc Sunday.
But my head is just not in the moving zone at all. I have insurance sorted, and I know I need to ring around all the utilities tomorrow to get our accounts ready to cancel and restart at new address. What else do I need to remember?!?!?
