how much would a plumber charge for fixing a dripping tap?

we have an incredibly annoying dripping tap. We've changed the washers ourselves, but it hasn't stopped the dripping. I think we need a plumber to come and fix it, but hear horror stories of huge call-out charges. Does anyone know roughly how much we should expect to pay?

Also, if we decide to change the tap and install a new one - how much would they charge for that?

we had the same problem, it cost around £150 but we had to buy the taps ourselves and that was expensive, around £130, never thought that taps could be so expensive!
