Need to refurbish / repair original Victorian tiled hall floor

The tiled floor in our hall is lovely but in a bit of a mess - some tiles are cracked, quite a few are loose and a few bits are missing. It's never going to look immaculate but I'd love to make it look a little better, and at least sort out the loose tiles before ds prises any more up!

I've not been able to find any answers on how to do this - has anyone got any experience?

TIA

Personally, I wouldn't try to do it myself. I would get in the experts. A company like this one this one but local to you.

Thank you - the companies in London seem much easier to find than in the south west and more specialist, but will have a search. I suspect as you say this isn't a job for amateurs, though I dread to think what it might cost!

Phone your Council's building conservation officer - they may have a list of specialists who can do this kind of work, ours do. They can't recommend anyone, but they can point you towards experts.

Ooh thanks, that's a good idea, there's a lot of conservation areas here, (we might even be in one, need to check) I'll try that.
