We need to replace our aging uPVC windows and were considering going for hardwood... however someone on a previous thread mentioned steel or aluminium. We have a modern 1960s house so I think metal windows would look great. I am trying to get quotes at the moment for steel, but haven't investigated aluminium yet and don't really know which would be best. We have huge windows, and external doors to replace too.
Has anyone had either steel or aluminium fitted, and were you happy with them? I want something low maintenance but eco-friendly. Thanks :)
