Crawl Boards for the loft?

We've just had our large loft insulated - and it's great, makes a real difference :)

However, i need some storage space back and there are now no floor boards up there. Do crawl boards just lay over the top of the insulation? Are they then safe to walk over?

I don't know if they are called crawl boards but you can get packs of particle board loft flooring in places like B&Q which would be safe to walk on. Not very expensive.
