Conservatory lights

My conservatory is too dark, so I'm after some ideas for how put more lights in it.

It's a lean-to style and we just have lights on the old exterior wall at the moment. This means it's too dark to do anything detailed near the outside. We have a toddler and use the conservatory as a playroom, so floor lamps are completely out of the question.

Any ideas?

We have put lots of coloured led lights, like Christmas lights, on the ceiling of ours.
They do not give great extra light, but they do look pretty.
We do not have any other form of lights in there, but is mostly used for wii play or watching tv.

could you put up halogens on a bar so that you could direct the lights into the room? not sure if this makes sense - I mean this type

Halogens on a bar is a good idea. I'll look into that. Thanks

we've just put "dance" up in our rubbishy old conservatory. quite good fun.

haha, just clicked on my own link - that was the new laptop I was thinking about last night, not halogens on a bar at all.
