Conservatory Blinds

We are currently getting quotes from some conservatory blind companies. We have a very reasonable quote from a local company but have also spoken to a rep from Thomas Sanderson who wilst being much more expensive do appear to have a better product. Has anyone had any experiece of using Thomas Sanderson and their quality etc.

I should add that I am somewhat dubious at using them as they have a very "hard sell" approach.

My Mum was a Thomas Sanderson rep for 12 years (she retired) and she was not at all hard sell; however some of her colleagues were a bit too in yer face!

Hence we have TS blinds all over the place, my Mum and step-Dad have a huge conservatory and the blinds do look brilliant and work really well, they went mad and had remote controlled ones! They are a cream colour and they do keep out the heat of the sun when it's very hot and you can sit in their in the winter as they insulate really well. My brother and Auntie have some as well, they look great and really last, which is why they cost more, but definately worth it.

As a family we also have their electric sun awnings and wooden shutters - I don't have any as she had left the company by the time we bought our house and we have no conservatory!!!

Hi. I own and run a blind company in Surrey and we often 'rescue' people from TS. Their sales approach is very insistent. Their product is good - but it should be at the prices they charge. If you are looking for pleated blinds a local company can probably do just as good a job, and if they have been around a long time with a showroom you can visit, you should be confident in using them. I wouldn't recommend perfect fit for conservatory roof blinds - they are not necessary and just cost more.
Hope that helps. Good luck with them.
