considering a house with one. do you lose sun in afternoon?

Yes, we have one. Our garden is small & we live in city centre so only the very far end of the garden gets sun in the evening. It does depend on what other buildings are nearby - in a detached house with a large garden it wouldn't be such a problem.

We have put a second patio with table & chairs at the end of the garden to catch the last of the sun - is that an option for the house you are looking at?

hmm, it's a 40ft garden so i think you could do a patio at the end - but i'm guessing the kitchen would be quite dark quite early. I assume you have lovely morning sun. What time do you lose it?

Thanks

It's hard to describe but my kitchen isn't right at the back of the house anyway! We have a living room at the back and yes it is sunny from first light. In summer time I would say it is late afternoon when we lose the sun.

great, thanks very much - very helpful.

we saw a second house today with same aspect garden. Generally seemed much brighter than the other so i guess it depends on a lot more than just the actual aspect.
