Ok I am incredibly, soul-destroyingly, indecisive and after months and months of umming and aahing, to-ing and fro-ing and ordering of infinite samples, I finally made a decision on my dining room floor - engineered boards in a medium oak.

I was poised to merrily click on "add to cart" today when CURSES it seems another decision needs to be made: 150mm or 180mm widthwise for the boards???

The room is pretty small, I think around 12 x 14 feet so which should I go for?

Seen conflicting advice on the interest re small spaces and board sizes. I'm leaning towards the wider ones (not much in it price-wise) but would love your opinions on how they would look in a room that size.

Wider generally looks nicer but are more expensive. Go for those and blame it on me if you don't like them - now just click order.

I also like wider better, regardless of room size.

Wider. Looks better.

Cheers all. Wide it is!

I'm about to start looking at flooring and suffer from the same kind of dithering when faced with too much choice.

Would you mind saying where are you buying your flooring from? I might use that as my start point. The choice is just bewildering.

Hi Deux I ordered from www.ukflooringdirect.co.uk in the end.
