How long before they make an offer?

Looking for advice/experiences of selling your house - ours is on the market and we've been here for 15+ years so I have no idea what to expect.

House went on the market late pm Friday 22nd; had request for viewing Mon morning, first viewing Wed evening. They came back for 2nd viewing on Saturday and it seemed to go well, lots of positive comments.

They have already sold their house so no delays from that point of view.

What I'm wondering is - when would you typically expect to receive an offer following a second viewing? When do I give up hope from this couple?

Don't want to get my hopes up or waste energy waiting to hear from them soon if it usually takes a while - any thoughts?

When we sold our house the people who bought it had second viewing on Monday and made an offer on Thursday I think. Our estate agent told us they were considering our house and another one and luckily chose us.

Hope you get an offer made very soon :)

The fact that they did not leave long between 1st and 2nd viewings suggest that they would not leave it too long before making an offer. They may have other houses on the radar to consider first, it probably isn't tactical.
