I need some advice, I have big cash help with house buy, never bought before, mum desperate to help me give security. not much available in our village, we want to buy, current owner happy to sell, not much movement down on price. Should I jut buy anyway? better to wait? Better to rent forever? Not sure what to do. we love the house, but it is small, though we could extend. cannot decide.

I would take a chance and buy the house, renting is such a waste of money. Even if you stay in it for a couple of years then extend or sell. You will have your foot on the property ladder x

Well it depends where you want to be. If you want to stay in your village then yes. There's nothing new coming on the market where we are (maybe seasonal). So who knows how long you'll have to wait.

Have a look on nethouseprices.com to see if it's a reasonable price, and if you're going direct to the owner find out what estate agent costs would be as they'll be saving on these. You know you like living there. Do you know how much your mortgage would work out vs rent? It could be that you can start saving towards a different house or extending in the future.
