what colour should I paint my dining room?

Hi,

I am redecorating my dining room in nov- the plasrterer is booked and we are painting it our selves for the first time! Anyway- my dining room houses some antique dark wook furniture (which my dp will not get rid of but it is nice),quite a bit of silver and has a green carpet (which we will change eventually)

So what colour should we paint it? My lounge is pale yellow with black and white accessories and leads to the dining room. Its an ok size approx 6-7m long by 5-6m.

its one of the coolest rooms in the house and very light- full length glass doors- I like the idea of grey
