Can you recommend some websites that will inspire me, please

They will be having new carpet, rug, curtains, bunkbed etc

And would like something to decorate the wall with - like a large transfer/sticker type thing maybe?

Thanks Smile

Well, your style may not be mine so the ones I like may not suit.

But if you try the allaboutyou website (it's the online base of lots of magazines) you can search through rooms, post on the decorating forum etc. www.allaboutyou.com/

Plus you can't go far wrong typing some key words into Google images and following the ones you like back to the original website. It's killed many a long evening for me [hgrin]

Thankyou, Sue (great name btwGrin) But who were you before?

That's what I want to do, spend an evening browsing and getting ideas

Interior design ain't my forte, sadly

How old is your dd?

I painted my dd's room in lilac and it has stencils in different coloured paint of flowers and butterflies.

Yes ages and styles would be helpful. I love imaginary decorating Grin

Etsy do some fab decals - or you could try on ebay.

Well I had to agree to some pink so I have two walls in a very pale pink and two in white. Candy striped curtains, an over the bed voile thingy (forgotten the name)with butterfly and dragonfly fairy lights. The rest of the room is taken up with toys apart from Ikea small table and chairs which are painted with cushion and gingham tablecloths. I would like to re-do it without pink - its current state was a moving-in temporary measure -but I'm not sure I will be allowed. I'm currently pondering storage solutions.

I am very much liking red and white at the moment - mostly white with red accents - and it would work well for a hearts theme or High school musical things or gingham/stripes.Ikea again have some nice things. I'm not sold on their rugs for children though, very plasticy and they smell odd when washed. John Lewis have some lovely things for children's rooms and I saw an M&S advert that had some reasonably priced smaller bits (peg rails and lamps I think).

Thankyou!

They are wanting pink, obviously

I will reluctantly agree to a very pale pink but like the idea of a pale blue, personally (they will probalbly disagreeGrin)

I am going to browse the sites you've recommended - thanks again
