How can you get away with calling this well proportioned?

Came across this property described by the agent as having well proportioned bedrooms. If you look at the details bedroom three is 10'7" by 2'. Yes that really does read TWO feet.

On what planet is that well proportioned?

To be fair it is a well proportioned cupboard, not sure on what planet it equates to a bedroom though Confused

SacharissaCryptlock · 24/10/2010 22:30

I haven't looked at the link (computer playing up) but it's a typo surely?! Must be 12 feet. I hope. [hgrin]

GingerCursedEeeee · 24/10/2010 22:32

MUST be 12 feet, hilarious typo, the vendors will not be happy!

DooinMeCleanin · 24/10/2010 22:33

I'd swap my house for it. It's bigger than my non existant 3rd bedroom. Infact it's probably bigger than my kitchen Shock

DooinMeCleanin · 24/10/2010 22:35

Unless they made two typos it is two feet. 0.6m is 2ft.

It's still about the same size as my kitchen.

SecretNutellaFix · 24/10/2010 22:40

2 foot wide? That's the width of a person from shoulder to shoulder. Got to be a typo.

SacharissaCryptlock · 24/10/2010 22:41

Someone must have meant 2 metres and it's all got confused with feet. No way is that room 2 feet! [hshock]

BellasFormerFriend · 24/10/2010 22:43

There is a phot of the room, looks about 2meters wide - apporx 6ft. I guess the person typong it up got the measurements the wrong round.

Hee hee, spiralqueen, thanks for a good laugh, not just for the "well proportioned cupboard" but also for the "overall spacious accommodation"!

It rather makes one wonder about the statement: "Outside are substantial gardens."

spiralqueen · 24/10/2010 23:18

They also have an ad for another house in the same village with another "well proportioned" bedroom which is supposedly 4'9" wide.

BFF but none of the photos are labelled and the rooms are empty so it could all be of the main bedroom taken from different angles Smile

Looks very much like a small third room to me. In fact I would put money on it, look again. THere are three bedroom pictures, the windows are in different places, the light is different etc etc. There are three bedrooms, three bedroom pictures, I am pretty sure it is a simple explanation.

ampere · 25/10/2010 18:37

Ah, it's a built-in bowling alley, of course!Grin

hocuspontas · 25/10/2010 18:59

Haha. It has a window at the front and the window is more than 2' across so a typo. But I wouldn't put it past an estate agent to describe a cupboard as a bedroom Grin My favourite part of property's details is when a small study is described as a '3rd reception room'. Great stuff.

hocuspontas · 25/10/2010 19:02

Spiral - technically they could call that a 'double' bedroom as well. 4 ft bed and 4 inches of space either side!
