suitability of 'normal' mirrors in bathroom...confused.

Hello! I would really like a shabby chic/antique looking sort of mirror in our bathroom, but the mirrors like this in John Lewis (I was browsing for ideas) said - 'Never hang this mirror on a damp wall, as the back board will distort and possibly cause damage to the mirror. Because of this, it's not recommended for bathroom use'. like this
Proper bathroom mirrors are all sleek and modern, and not what I'd like. I need something about 50 cm wide and 80 cm high.
Anyone got any ideas?

I have a really old gilt mirror in my en-suite and it has been fine, albeit the bathroom doesn't have a shower in so it doesn't get too steamy.Mines been up several years now.I would go for it!.

Thanks teta! I might do just that.
Anyone else have any thoughts?

I would nip into my local glaziers and get their advice. They may have some sort of solution for you!
