Gloss or eggshell.

Have ordered eggshell but now wish had gone for gloss. Oh dear, will it matter that much... Guess gloss would last better and look smarter.

Obviously this is of vital importance...

tbh gloss would be more hard wearing on a front door

Always gloss on a front door. Definitely. Always.

Gloss. We had Hague Blue gloss on our last front door and it was lovely Smile

linspins · 21/10/2010 14:05

Gloss outside.

DukesOfTripHazard · 21/10/2010 14:28

Agree. Am eggshell only inside and gloss out. F&B Light Blue in our case.

Well, Flum I would have gone for eggshell too but this thread is making me think again! Let me know how it looks compared to gloss.

I have eggshelled mine but it's sheltered by a porch.

It is eggshell. The letterbox is already chipped alot. Only 3 months old. Decorator is sweet though as says course it won't last well as is waterbased.

Colour is lush! Will get it re-painted in gloss next year - might go for Downpipe then. Now what to do the exterier (wierd cream pebble dash) and leaded light windows next.

Indoor hall now Dimity and London Stone. Loo Saxon green - amazing!

Mmmm funny to find this thread again. Front door looks ok but letter box v. chipped.]

Decorator back tomoz, going for Fn B colour match for pebble dash and windows \i thinkg. Off white or Shaded white.
