Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help? I am lookign to get my kitchen redone - have been for a quote and got a ridiculous quote. We are looking for a new kitchen on a tight budget and ideally where we can spread the payments - is there such a thing? Any advice would be appreciated.

Did you check Wickes and Ikea for buying the units? Then find a local fitter to fit it. You need to shop around and get many quotes, fitters vary a lot price wise.
Have you checked peoplerated?

Ikea do interest free credit over 2 years if you spent over 3K. (Think you can still get it for 1 year if you spend less than this)

is that for fitting as well?

I think so, but Ikea fitting is very, very expensive. It's perfectly do-able to put the cabinets together yourself and then just pay someone to fit the units and worktop. Think we paid our fitter a day rate of £140 a day and it only took 2 or 3 days to fit - the quote from Ikea to fit was at least an extra grand!
