Painting my hall, stairs and landing.

I am about to have my hall, stairs and landing skimmed so it can be painted.

Previously I had Dulux Natural Calico painted onto the old wallpaper. I've had this colour in my past three houses so fancy a change.

It is quite dark as the only window is in the hall and it has obscured glass and so does the front door. I also have a sunlight pipe thing at the top of the stairs. But apart from that there is no natural light.

Any nice bright suggestions?

The rest of downstairs is all painted with Natural Hessian.

Upstairs the bedrooms off the landing are pale blue, stone, blossom white, pale green and the bathroom is the off white blue. All dulux colours...

OT, but what is the sunlight pipe like? We regret not having one put in at the top of ours stairs when we had building work done and are wondering whether to get one fitted now.

When the sun is shining in a certain way I have to check to see if the light is switched on, it is that bright. However, on duller days the effect isn't quite so dramatic but better than not having it there iyswim.

Sounds a bit like ours. We're just about to do one wall in Dulux Coral Flair
