Heritage grey kitchen - what walls?

Just had Heritage Grey kitchen fitted (Benchmarx equivalent) and love it. We have Black pearl granite (black with brown/ white flecks) and are getting large (60cm x 60cm) light natural colour porcelain tiles.

Really stuck as to what colour to go for on the walls. We have quite a bit of stainless steel going on (range, shelves, lights) and I was thinking of a grey colour - I think F & B Pavilion Grey looks good but friends are saying to go for a lighter colour. We have two young children who tend to get their fingerprints everywhere so I am reluctant to go too pale.

Any advice given would be much appreciated. BTW, sink against a wall so thinking of putting tiles there as a splashback

I like pavillion grey but yes, I reckon it could be too dark but don't know how large a kitchen you have.

I also like F & B Hound Lemon and Cooking Apple Green.

Also Kevin McCloud at Fired Earth - Plantinum Pale is my fave of all of them.

Finger prints always wipeable with damp cloth or a bit of jif.

Where can you get Fired Earth paints? Saw a sample of Platinum pale online but would like to get a sample to see it in the flesh.

Do you think it comes out blue-ish?

You could try and pick the brown colour out of the granite? Grey and brown (mocha/coffee colour) can look really good together if you get the right shade - very contemporary.

Or use a natural colour on three walls and do a feature wall in something dramatic, like red or purple.

We have this and have F&b Lime White. We have granite upstands and no tiles and are really pleased with the effect.[our range and fridge are black as are the worktops-black and grey flecked].

I am worried that Lime White is too pale for grubby little fingers. Is it very pale?

It is very pale, but because we have a small kitchen, there is very little wall at grubby hand level. There is more danger of me splashing curry/tomatoes on it.Thankfully it wipes down well.Grin
