Any thoughts and advice appreciated.

If you go to a proper lighting shop (not B&Q) they will help you, massive amounts of cataloguse.

Measure the room accurate, if poss, do scale drawings with windows and doors.

Get them to give you the good advise on the amount of lums you need.

Glass is better to clean. fabric nightmare.
