Very dull question, but IKEA stackable bins anyone?

I've seen these stackable bins on the IKEA website. We don't have much space in the kitchen to keep the recycling plus general rubbish and I'm wondering if this bin is the way forward.

A few questions:
Does anyone have them?
Are they any good?
Do they stack well?
Do they fall over easily?
What do you put at the bottom?
Is it easy to fit a bin bag in them?

If these are no good, does anyone have any other suggestions for bins for reduced spaces?

thanks Smile

The lids are quite flimsy (tbh I don't use them)
Never tried putting a bin bag in them .. the shape looks wrong to me
They stack ok but as the website says could topple

I use them in a row to store shoes/towels/swimming gear so not what they were intended for.

I use the 37l ones, one each for my laundry so it holds one load of laundry, I have them stacked so 3 high (I have 6, whites/blacks/light colours etc)

I'm not sure if you could fit a bin bag, mine is too shallow and I think it would be too long to stretch the bin liner over.

Lids are ok, they don't stay up so you have to hold it open due to the sloped side of the one above but the top one you can flip back on itself.

I wash them out every so often in the bath.

You could easily use them for recycling. They would hold a lot!

Thanks for that.

So, they are sort of flat and long, am I right?

Any other opinions?

We use them for recycling (I think their intended purpose) and they're great. But we don't put bags in them, as the general rubbish goes in a different bin.

Ours are under a worktop with things either side so they can't get kicked over or anything. I think they would be flimsy and topple if just stacked in a corner (though saying that they do have them in the Ikea shops like that)

Ok, we could put the under the sink in the cupboard.

hmm, need to measure up before our next trip to ikea.
