Power flush heating

Is this a good idea? Plumber who's coming to move radiators and put thermostats on says we need one to flush out gunk of existing radiators. Is it a ruse to get £ off us or genuinely something that would make the system more efficient?

Power flushing will get rid of gunk and crap from your heating system so I would go for it, if it's not too expensive. I've used a chemical flush in the past but I think a power flush is more effective.

Make sure the plumber puts a corrosion inhibitor in the system when he/she refills it.
