So, we had to change our locks on the front door of our new house. I wanted all of the door 'furniture' to match with new light sockets etc. so I opted for chrome. I wanted shiney chrome but locksmith only had brushed chrome. I had assumed we'd change the letter box in due course when we get around to painting the door but only today I realised that it is a quite gorgeous Art Deco piece.
Is there a way to turn it silver/chrome. Could it be electroplated for example?
