OK we rent and are moving, we are keen to get deposit back (!!)

bath has one of thise plugs you move up and down by turning a wheel to open and close.

ds sat on plug squashing it down, I turned wheel nothing happened so I pulled plug and it has come up in my hands

I'm guessing i cant fix it without taking off the side panels of the bath/

please tell me I'm wrong....
thanks

Are you sure it doesn't just slot back in? MiL takes hers out regularly and leaves it on the side of the bath (no idea why) and her dh is a plumber so it must be ok (maybe? Confused )

yeah you will need to take the side panel off the bath and there will be a collar which needs tightening onto the bar that moves up and down.

If you can still get the plug in and out, I would just leave it and not say anything ...... landlord will not notice that anyway

thanks
so is it likely ds broke it or was it something else?

I feared as much!!

why didn't he just get a proper plug?

I doubt it is "broke" really and in any case I think it is really fair wear and tear .... these pop up wastes look nice but are often useless

thanks
my intention was to stick it back in when we move and not say anything!!

I just feel guilty for blaming my poor wee ds if he didn't do it by sitting on it Grin

agree too it's put me off them completely but I was never a fan!
