Cavity wall insulation??

I think we need this - our house is freezing and I'm pretty sure it has (empty) cavity walls.

Is it expensive? Is it quick to put in? Will any old company do or should I shop around?

Any wise advice gratefully received!

We have just had this done.

We used WarmerHome and got a discount from the governmemt and for our 3 bed house it cost under £300.

Our problem was dampness but it definately helps with keeping the warmth in (hence why it's called WarmerHome). We had an assessment a week after we phoned and got an appointment very quickly. It took about 3/4 hours all told and the stuff does make you cough and it does make a mess in the drive and over the house where they drill. They tidied up as best they could but we had to paint over the holes the next day as it looks ugly if you don't and sweep the drive. They fill the holes with cement flush to the house so painting is easy. Used a broom with a paintbrush taped to the end to reach high up whilst on a ladder.
Today we thought it had been very warm in the morning after sleeping so it seems to be working.

Hope that has been a help Smile
