Cyb I have the gel fire ones - real cast iron fire place with the firebox logs and tins - see pic on my profile - it can smell a little but you can add oils to the gel to change the smell also give off quite a bit of heat!

cyb not sure about electric, how good they look in reality, but found this one and it looks amazing.

Not sure if it can genuinely look that good in RL?

cyb · 26/09/2010 15:45

That looks nice 86-how much do you spend on the gel? I dont want it to end up costing a fortune

or we go electric?

The albany optymist is good too has smoke effect and nice glow

noddyholder · 26/09/2010 16:05

best one but more £

86Pinkle · 26/09/2010 16:05

I paid about £70 for the 3 gel tins, 3 litre bottles of gel fuel and the logs. But the site don't seem to do this kit anymore - maybe you could find something on ebay. We've only used this about 5-6 times and still have 1 litre of gel left. Each tin filled up lasts about 6-8 hours of burning time.

HTH

Thanks 86

And Noddy you are a star, I love that Opti-mist one!
