Repairing concrete worktops?

The house I'm buying has concrete worktops in the kitchen which are a bit stained and chipped. Is is possible to repair them and is it likely to be an expensive job?

Hi - just asked DP (who has made a few and we were thinking of doing one ourselves) and he said that the staining is pretty impossible to get out. It's likely that the concrete wasn't sealed properly and that is one of the hazards as it's very porous. As for chipping- again it's not easy. Someone who works with granite worktops may be able to give you some advice. We love concrete but it needs brilliant sealing and loving care. Sorry I got no magic cure - apart from re-moulding and cost a fair bit & would depend on where you are and who could do it near you.
