How do I remove glue from a window

Hi I'm hoping someone can help me with this. My windows have lead on them, to look like leaded windows. Itlooks like its been stuck on with superglue. I have taken off the lead but i'm now left with the glue. The only way I can remove it is by scraping it off which is very time consuming. Does anyone know if there is a liquid I could use to remove it? thanks.

Methylated Spirits might do the trick. Surely scraping the glue off will scratch your windows?

Ok thanks i will try that, hope it works. I've only scraped off abit very carefully so didn't scratch the glass.

Artificial nail remover (acetone) - it is designed to remove nail glue (which is same as superglue - cyanoacrylate)

yep, what Jackstini said (cover up the window surround with something though)
