Would you buy faux leather sofa?

I like them because you can wipe them clean but are they supposed to be tacky?
Have you seen any good ones? Anyone bought one from Argos?

I wouldn't buy one. My friend has had 2 faux leather sofas and they just don't last or wear well. I would seek out a discount furniture outlet - eg National Brands, who sell M&S and Laura Ashley stuff at around half price - and get leather.

We are living in a rental flat with two and they are tacky - don't look right and they don't feel right against your skin.

Nope -- have had one in rental flat and hated it. It didn't 'give' like leather so didn't have anything like the same comfort level, and it made absurd farty noises.

bunjies · 04/09/2010 18:48

No. They look & feel nothing like leather and you will hate them.

Thank you.

This is what i thought too.

I have now decided to pay more and buy leather one from ikea.

Smile Another option is to check local ebay sales. My brother bought two lovely Chesterfields that way for the same as Argos fake leather sofas would cost.

Thank you Heartsease. I will check ebay tonight. (looking forward to it and a glass of wine) Smile
