How can I put a shower in?

We have wanted a shower for ages and it has come to the time where both dd's are going to be at school and we will all need the shower in the morning so I am wondering how I can go about it and any advice would be wonderful.

The problem I have is that the end of the bath where the taps are only has half a wall where the pipes have been boxed in the other half has a bit of wall but the window is there iyswim?

SO could I attach some aqua board to the boxed in bit and then tile it and attach the shower to that? I know it would cover a bit of the window but that doesn't worry me.

If not what else could we do? Attach it the wall that runs length ways along the bath as that's a proper wall and wouldnt block access to the boxed in bit but then the shower would point across the bath rather than along the bath, then how would we get a shower screen or curtain to stop everywhere being soaked?

Or tile over the boxed in bit and attach the shower to that but then we'd need a curtain that came around the corner?

Help please?

Difficult one - i'd get a joiner out to see if they could put a baton in and then plywood to the boxed in area, the plumber could then fit shower and you could get the joiner to put wet wall over the plywood IYSWIM?
