DP and I live in a 3 bed house and rent out the two remaining bedrooms - we're in a nice bit of South London so this is a very good earner.
Our previous lodgers have all been friends or friends of friends so they were fairly trustworthy.
We're now looking for a complete stranger as a lodger and I'm a bit scared.
We will draw up a contract with them and take 1 months rent as a deposit. How do I go about getting a reference?
Can anyone offer advice?
