Please critique my bathroom tile choices

Tiles around the bath/over bath shower. Will all be tiled to uniform height (1.5 m or so above the top of the bath) in large white rectangular tiles set landscape but I was thinking of doing a border or summat - either:

Walls will probably be mid-blue but I want to make it easy for us or anyone else to change the walls without having to change the tiles. Ta :)

I like the grey border a lot, much less keen on the Victorian thing and think the bumpy white ones might look a bit odd -- they're still normal sized biggish tiles, right? I suspect the effect would be too subtle and maybe just look like you'd mixed two packs.

Also, we were going to have our white tiles set landscape, but because we were aligning our border with the window sill our tiler suggested we kept them portrait. Apparently landscape would have resulted in quite a few awkward looking cuts. That might not be at all applicable to you though, just wanted to mention that there turned out to be more considerations than I had thought.

i like grey best

Cheers :)

Thanks Hearts, will have to speak to the tiler I guess but wanted them in brick style pattern rather than lined up iyswim, which doesn't really work with portrait style. Hmm.

The bumpy ones are bigger, so would have a line of them immediately above the bath and then the other ones above them. Thin border would be a few tiles up or eye level or something, not at all sure really.

love the little grey rectangular thingies. Not keen on white bumps. HTH

Oh brick pattern would be cool. I'm sure that issue won't affect you, I just thought I'd spill every single thought your post brought to mind Smile.

Grin MN often has that effect on me!

Sounds like the little grey thingies are the popular choice :)
