Can anyone recommend a good removals company for north west london?

Need to move out of property at end of September for 6 months to do major building works and would like to use a removals company to pack our stuff and put it into storage. Does anyone have any recommendations of good removal companies they have used in north west london (we're nw6) recently? Have used Pickfords before but wasnt particularly impressed with their service.

I will ask my friend who moved last year. I think they packed their own though I'm sure they had no probs.

we just used the London removal company last week for a move from London to Somerset on recommendation of a mumsnetter and found them fab. Plus we haggled £200 off the quoted price too!

Amber Moves are great, have used them 3 times over the last few years. Based in NW4 but work all over.

We used a company called Alexanders (based in Park Royal NW10) for our house move in July. Their packing, removal and storage fees were lower than Pickfords and they provided a sterling service for the move. We are planning to use them when the purchase of our new house in Oxfordshire goes through.

My friend used Diamond removals. She said they were good but didn't come and collect the empty boxes.
