Hillside Houses built into hills

OK we have a patch of land that has about half an acre on a slope and half an acre on the flat (at the top) we're considering looking into building on the land and like the idea of having a house build into the hillside so that it doesn't block the views of the houses behind and above on the hill.

Does anyone know of a house or anything build into the side of a hill. So far have found a round house built into the side of a hill in Switzerland but need something in this country or more basic.

Want to look into costs and see if it's financially possible before taking it any further.

If your hillside is more or less south facing you could build an Earthship.

Or something like the Malator House, but only open on one side.
