We are thinking of relocating to Scotland, mainly for more outdoors and more house for out money.
I've been looking and quite like the look around Lanark. Is this a good area? We are not tied into work although secondary schools are important, so I am mainly looking for good road/rail links to a main city with an airport (maybe 30-60 mins) and nice outdoors that we can go walking/cycling.
A library and shopping centre would be nice too

What do you think, anywhere that might be suitable.
