cost of pendants vs spotlights

Another quick cost question. Our electrician has added a whopper of a surplus on to our invoice as we upgraded from the pendants on our quote to spots in the kitchen and bathroom. I can't find a price comparison anywhere and am just wondering what is in the range of normality. tia

i seem to remember a quote of 60 per spot. yes, per spot! excluding cost of spot itself.

Mine is doing satin nickel ones for £58, in London.

That's supply and fit. Better be anyway.

They'll go out of fashion and be a bugger too paint round.....

Okay quote last year £60 per point pendant you tend to only have one or two spots you have lots. Plus spots tend to use around 3 times as much electric. I am having all my spots gradually replaced.

you can get energy efficiant bulbs for spots - 2 watt ones.

we have loads. i was going to replace them because of energy use but have swirched to the 2 watt bulbs instead. the light is a bit harsher but you soon get used to it.
