What colour bedding would you have with this wallpaper?

Its a deep champagne/light gold colour. I was going to go for latte/goldy colour bedding and curtains, but is that overkill? What colour would you go for? Not too keen on brown.

Carpet is a biscuity colour, and furniture is white. Room is large but with only one average sized window.

Opinions needed most welcome!

Its for mine and DH's bedroom, by the way, I don't think I made that clear.

Latte/beigey golds would just end up looking like sludge with all the other muted tones. I would go for raspberry or a very deep purple (I know the shade I have in mind but can't think what it might be called - basically not a jewel like purple or anything lilac-y. Damson?).

itstheyearzero · 13/08/2010 19:08

Ooh yeah, purpley definitely. Aubergine??

LynetteScavo · 13/08/2010 19:10

Bed linen should always be white.

It's the law.

Definitely sheets should be white - I was thinking in terms of a bedspread and cushions.

maxpower · 13/08/2010 19:21

burgandy

Heartsease · 13/08/2010 19:22

I would want crisp white bedding and agree that aubergine would be good for bedspread/cushions. Or a greyish blue/duck egg colour? If the cushions had tiny gold bits of embroidery that would help tie it in.

Thanks everyone, am torn between aubergine and duck egg blue for cushions etc now!

Hmm, shades of duck egg blue and teal would be lovely, and less heavy than burgundy or aubergine (much as I love the lat.er colours).
