We have just had an offer accepted on a house, complete renovation project. Not our forever house by any means, more a means to an end house. After living in a new build for the last 4 years, we are looking forward to getting our teeth into something and putting our personality into our living space. We have a DD who is 10.5 months and I am off back to work next month full time. DH is planning on doing 80% of the work himself whilst we live in the rubble. Are we quite mad? Tell me it will be fine!

It will be fine Grin

We had our bathroom done when DS was about 7 months old. He loved watching the builders come and go... But it was a pain having the bathroom out of action - luckily we had family nearby so could use their shower and DS had baths in a bucket so no problems there. Plus there was a lot of dust but the builders were great - they vacummed at the end of every day (more than I ever do!)

What will be your arrangements for cleaning and cooking when the kitchen/bathroom are being done? Will you be able to keep part of the house clean for DD (e.g. is she crawling)?
