Any nice areas to live around London?

Do you know any nice places to live around london, where I could get a 2 bedroom flat/house with garden for under 1200pcm?

I don't have a car, so it should have good transport links too. I don't need to go to London everyday, only 2-3 days per week.

Twickenham is lovely - train straight to London
Lots of famiy things to do but top end of your budget - prob 2 bed flat with garden
Parts of Ealing - very green, accessible and young families
Kingsbury - brilliant transport links and family accomodation
Stanmore - end of the tube - again probably top end of budget but very pretty
