Removal companies in London - costs & recommendations pls!!

We are moving from central London to the outskirts in a few weeks and I'd really appreciate some recommendations of great removal companies and/or ideas of the costs involved in moving! We have a two bed flat, no unusual items and the biggest things to move are probably the beds. Washing machine, fridge etc are staying in the flat. We are happy to do the packing ourselves. So far I've had quotes from £325 to £1000 and have no idea what is a reasonable amount to pay!!

Any advice gratefully received

Desperately trying to remember who we used and how much it was (though for much further move - London to Cheshire) but it was two years ago and my brain no longer works as it did I am possibly being naive but would just go with the cheapest!

Burke & Wills v good. Can't remember cost though sorry - depends on no of rooms / amount of stuff. Really really recommend getting them to pack for you. Should definitely cost 3 figures rather than 4.

Thanks both, I am tempted to go with the cheapest as we don't have anything mega valuable. Last time we moved pre-children we used an aussie man-and-van and they were great! We've got quite a lot more this time though .. am seriously tempted to get them to pack

try smile moves - its on the web - I'll be honest he is my sisters bloke, but fantastic service and not too costly. I think more like 500 all in including packing for ours.

I used GB Liners,they arrived on time, were efficient and careful. Agree get them to pack. I didn't and regretted it.

we recently used steve freize based in croydon although they will do anywhere i think. they were excellent, great can do attitude and they were around £750 and they did all our packing for us in our two bed flat and reassembled everytihng in our new house.
