Having Victorian (ish) tiled path restored...

Have any of you had this done? Our almost Victorian tiled path is rather battered in places courtesy of tree roots causing the path to lift, tiles to crack etc. I've been saving tiles as they've detached themselves from the path but the time has most definitely come to have it sorted.

I've found a company that restores paths using reclaimed tiles from the original path but will supplement with new tiles where necessary. DH is worried it will look ridiculous if we end up with a mixture of old and new tiles.

I'd look at their portfolio. Expensive I should think. My battered almost Victorian path is quarry tiles. I'm just going to start again. I suppose it is sacrilege, but quarrry tiles are in keeping with the period and it would be cheaper. Expect in your posish I would want to restore though.
