I'm having a Magnet kitchen which is "50%" off (yeah right) in their sale and I'm paying what DH had set in the budget (!!)...the lovely budget. As usual their granite prices in the sale are more expensive than if you go direct.

I've looked at Cargo Granite in Bedford but would be interested to see whether you've used them? Any other suggestions - Berkshire M25 area

I used an internet company if you google Diapol you'll find them. They were pretty competitive and gave a good service.

I've also been looking at Cargo Granite.

Ah now my builder has just told me about diapol and I've called them. They've come back with an £1800 + VAT quote incl fitting which is really competitive. Lady was very helpful and called straight away. People at Cargo Granite were helpful too - only upside for Cargo is that you can go up to the warehouse and take a look at very big slabs of granite and they have a range of doors there so you don't need to try to find a sample door of your own kitchen as they're likely to find something you can use.

The granites on the diapol website are all named so you can go to anywhere to look at them. We had galaxy star lovely.

Good Point MMM....will probably use Cargo for my "viewing" and then weigh up the cheapest option for supply and fit....There are some quite competitive companies out there (thank goodness - DH the accountant is being pretty stringent on the "budget" so there is no leeway......)
