How much to get a conservatory?

We're thinking about getting a conservatory but can't easily get quotes from companies right now (we don't own the house yet!). Can anyone give me a rough idea of how much it would cost to have a conservatory built? Very rough size 4m x 3m; including laying foundations/floor as required.

Thanks!

Very approximately - £1000 per square metre. However a budget model will be cheaper, especially if you can do some of the work yourselves, and a top of the range conservatory with underfloor heating, snazzy blinds, anti-glare glass etc will be more expensive.

We have just ordered a conservatory, to give you an idea on costs - it's bigger, so yours should hopefully come in cheaper! Ours is 7m x 3m (goes along the back wall of the house), with one of the short walls brick, rest windows on a 60cm dwarf wall, patio doors at other end, all glass is Pilkington Activ (the roof being blue), 4 double electric sockets and the fitting of 3 lights (lights bought separately by us), floor left as concrete screed ready for us to finish as we wish. Total cost £18k, we're adding aircon at £1300 for heating/cooling and Karndean tiles that will be £1200 approx.

Hope that helps!
