A few questions about removal firms

Apart from tea/coffee biscuits, do I have to feed the removal men?

How much should I tip them? And is it best to tip them after they have packed and removed our stuff or when they have taken it to the new house. There will be a gap of a month or two before we can move in. Everything is going into storage in between.

I only gave tea/coffee/biscuits - they usually have their own packed lunch between moving out and moving in, so won't affect you on the day.

You may get a different team to move you in - so if you want to tip - you may have to do it on both occassions.

I only had a £20 note so gave them that - felt a bit mean as there were 4 of them, but then if everyone gave them that, they'd get £100 extra a month in cash.

They do work hard for their money.

Our removal men were fab. We gave them tea/coffee/soft drinks and choc biscuits. There were two of thema nd we tipped them £30 between them plus a crate of beer to share.
