Lounge/Hall/Stairway being redecorated by insurance after flood...help with colours!

Had a huge leak/flood in bathroom causing lounge ceiling to come through, insurance assessor been today and bathroom has to be removed as need new wooden floor laid upstairs (they will then refit my bathroom suite and I can choose new top flooring)

However they have said that the lounge/stairs/landing will be redecorated as damaged (we may be entitled to new sofa/carpet but will find that out on Friday) Currently have one wall of brown with cream flowers paper and rest walls painted dark cream (have brown sofa bases with wheat/biscuit colour cushion seats and a biscuit colour carpet)

this will be the one and only time we have the chance to have the room decorated profesionally (rather than our attempts) and I am stuck for ideas (and any recommendations for durable paint as we only painted stair wall last year and already has loads of marks on it) Would like to keep the one wall with paper (I know some think naff but I like it )

Oh and we have oak furniture in the room that will stay
