Help - builders dropped plaster down toilet - what will dissolve it?

Yes, after they left I realised they must have dropped a big blob of plaster down the toilet. It has set in the bottom of the pan. I have tried to dislodge it with a screwdriver/scraper but it is stuck. Is there anything acid that will dissolve it??? All advice welcome!

They have finished and it seems a pain to get them back just for that, but I might have to give them a ring if I cant sort it out myself. They were generally excellent builders so I am sure it was an accident.

This is really unacceptable, get them back and if you have not finally settled the invoice, do not do so until they have removed the plaster. Really bad practice, they should have put the seat down!!

I think you would be better getting them to sort it out from the start rather than trying to sort it and finding out there's still a problem a few months down the line when they will try and wriggle out of it because you didn't give them the chance to sort it.

Yes, as I said I am sure it was just an accident as they were excellent, and if I could easily solve it myself that would be simpler. So was just wondering if anyone had an easy solution for disolving plaster for me????

If it turns out there isnt one then obviously I will have to go back to the builders.

You might damage your toilet in the process of trying to solve the problem yourself!
